Rev Anthony Arrowsmith had the uncanny ability to preach the Word to simple folk. He was a great distiller, and he took no pride in his abilities. No backwater could hold him back.

Rev Anthony Arrowsmith seems a dubious character. It seems impossible to me that this bio by S.Gale (??) could be correct but the evidence he subsequently presents backs up these claims.
